During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top sandbox-like games on the Android platform in the Netherlands exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a breakdown of the performance of the leading five games according to Sensor Tower data.

Roblox saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $41K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads started at around 7.3K in late September and surged to nearly 12.2K by the end of December. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, ultimately rising from about 568K to 614K.

School Party Craft experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, starting from 4.4K in late September and dropping to around 2.4K in early December, before rebounding to 4.2K by the last week of December. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, decreasing from 8.3K to 6.2K before climbing back to 8.6K towards the end of the quarter.

Block Crazy Robo World had a notable spike in weekly downloads, which increased from 729 in late September to a peak of 8.3K in late October, before stabilizing around 2.9K by the end of December. The game also saw growth in weekly active users, moving from 2.2K to 8.2K over the quarter.

CubeCrafter displayed a mixed performance with weekly downloads initially rising from 5.2K in late November to 12.9K by early December, then declining to 2.1K in the last week of December. Weekly revenue showed a gradual increase, reaching a peak of approximately $312 in mid-December. Active users also showed an upward trend, peaking at 11.6K in late November before decreasing to 5.8K by the end of December.

Minecraft showed consistent performance with weekly revenue ranging between $3.7K and $8.2K. Weekly downloads increased from 516 in late September to 4.8K in early December, stabilizing around 3.5K towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained steady, rising from 60.8K to 79.2K by the end of December.
